The Prometheus Legacy

Prometheus and the Mountain of Stone 🐉 🔥

There exists a place where time has refused to pass. A land where the few remaining inhabitants carry on their ancient customs undisturbed, facing the stone effigies — the Momârle, their ancestral heroes, now immortalized in rock.

According to Aeschylus, the legendary Titan Prometheus was chained in Scythia — the „Land of Iron” — to rocks called Pharanx, near the great river Oceanos Potamos (identified with the Danube), where a vulture devoured his liver daily.

According to Nicolae Densușianu, this Pharang is none other than today’s Parâng Mountain in Romania. Herodotus refers to it as Parangos, where Prometheus was punished by Jupiter for 3000 years.

Petroșani — The Valley of the Ancients

The name „Petroșani” comes from petro (stone), ș (appearance), and ani (bonds). According to the phonogenetic code interpreted by Professor Grigore Albu Gral, the name means: „the bonds revealed by the appearance of stone.” This region, part of Hunedoara County, is considered the most megalithic-dense area of Romania — with over 50 anthropomorphic and zoomorphic faces carved in stone found in what is now called the Valley of Hyperborea.

🐉 The Dragon of Jiu Valley

The Jiu Valley, from Petrila to Uricani, forms the shape of a dragon, through the winding of the East and West Jiu Rivers. This „dragon within a dragon” reflects the Carpathian Dragon — with its tail in the Balkans, head in Bohemia, and heart (the center) in Romania, surrounded by sacred mountains (kogaions).

Kogaion — The Sacred Mountain

Each kogaion is a sacred site — a metaphysical powerhouse chosen by the ancient Zamolxian priests, each aligned with specific telluric energies. The Parâng/Parangulos Kogaion, also known as the Kogaion of the Black Gorgans, holds energies of initiation, mystery, and ancestral connection. The Black Gorgans symbolize the Cult of the Ancestors, which says that at the end of time, the ancestors will rise from the stone.

In an age before empires, when the Earth still whispered its secrets through stone and wind, a mountain stood above all others — Parâng, the sacred throne of the Pelasgians. Legends say that Prometheus, the Titan who defied Zeus to bring fire to humanity, fled westward across the ancient world. Wounded and hunted, he came to the land of the Hyperboreans, where the stars sang and the stones remembered.

The Pelasgians 🔥 Guardians of the last Kogaion

There, the Pelasgians, masters of stone and guardians of the Kogaion, welcomed him. In exchange for his fire, they gave him refuge. It was in Parâng, on the stone throne of the Pharangx, that he made his last stand. But even there, Jupiter found him. Bound to the stone cliffs, with the Danube roaring nearby, Prometheus endured his eternal punishment.

Yet the Pelasgians did not forget. They carved his image into the black rocks, among the Gorgans, alongside the faces of their own ancestors. Their priests, the Zamolxians, encoded the land with sacred names — Jiul, Petroșani, Parâng — each vibrating with ancient energy, each a syllable in the Earth’s living mantra. As centuries passed, the people of the valley — the Momârle, children of stone — kept their traditions. They spoke to the rocks, lit fires in caves, and sang to the ancestors. They knew that Parâng was no ordinary mountain — it was a Kogaion, a cosmic axis where Heaven kissed Earth. And they knew that Prometheus still breathed beneath the stone.

🐉 The Return of the Dragon When the socialist machines came — hungry for coal and ore — they carved into the Dragon’s heart. The Jiu Valley bled. But the dragon shape remained, coiled in the land, waiting. Now, in the whisper of the wind through pine trees, in the cracking of ancient stone, there are signs.

The Ancestors will rise, say the elders. From stone. From silence. From Parâng. For when the world forgets its fire, it is Prometheus who returns — not as a god, but as a memory carved in stone, leading those brave enough to remember the way back.

As above, so below — in stone, we begin. Where fire meets mountain, the myth burns within 🔥 the last Kogaion 🐉
